We are located in Cape May, New Jersey. You will want to consider that you will be responsible for all travel arrangements to get your puppy home. If you live close, this won't be an issue. But, if you live far away, you will need to think this through carefully.
WE DELIVER!
We have had too many issues with customers using commercial transportation services, so we prefer handling the delivery ourselves. We have to schedule ground transport trips, so you have to get into the trip or wait for the next one. Prices are based on distance and can vary. Customers can get live updates on our Facebook page during delivery trips. Remember, our starting and ending point is Cape May, New Jersey, and all pricing includes some calculation of this distance.
Unlike commercial transporters, who pick up dogs and puppies continuously, we only have our own puppies on board, so we know your puppy will not be exposed to disease from another animal during the trip. We also have invested in a specially designed, air conditioned transportation vehicle, to make sure your puppy is safe and comfortable. If any of the puppies seem lonely or anxious during the trip, we will keep them up front with us until they settle down.
We think our prices are very competitive, but if you think our delivery prices are a little higher than the commercial transporters, realize it's worth it when you consider that extra level of care and comfort your puppy will get from us. We have a vested interest in making sure your puppy arrives safe and healthy. Its our entire reputation on the line and we take that very seriously.
COMMERCIAL TRANSPORTERS: Most commercial long distance transport involves the puppy staying crated for the whole trip. It's just too stressful and is not safe for a young puppy to be put through that process, so we no longer allow our puppies to be delivered that way. In fact, we haven't allowed that type of transport in more than a year. Instead, we have been learning the ropes ourselves, so that we can take care of our own puppies and deliver them safely to you. Unfortunately, that means this option is not available if you would like one of our puppies.
TRAVELING BY AIR: If you will be flying your puppy home, you must be careful to meticulously follow all of your airline's requirements for transport of animals or your puppy will not be allowed to fly. You must arrange for transport while your puppy is under twenty(20) pounds and he or she must fit in a soft-sided crate that fits under the seat in front of you. If you wait too long and your puppy is overweight, you may end up driving, so early is better. If you travel this way, remember to bring supplies with you on the plane in case your new baby gets sick or has an accident. We are nearest to Atlantic City International (ACY) and but the Philadelphia International (PHL) airport is the closest to us that more often allows for pets to travel. You only have two options: either you fly to us and then we will charge you for transport of your puppy to the airport to meet you; or, we can give you a price for us to make the whole trip to you. There is also a small airport right in Cape May, if you happen to know someone with a private plane.
PERSONAL PICK-UP: Of course you could always just come yourself to pickup your new furbaby and take him or her home. In fact, we encourage this. Think of it as your first big adventure together. If you choose to take this on, there are a few things you should know. Doggies get carsick just like people do, and remember your puppy will not be trained, so you will want to plan for many stops along the way. Commercial carriers avoid this by using special crates that allow for puppies to be messy on the ride. It is super important that you remember your puppy won't be fully vaccinated when you are taking him/her home, so you must be very VERY careful not to take them into areas where they could catch something left behind by another dog. We really can't stress this enough. When we travel by road, we have special vehicles and special crates to keep your puppy safe and clean the whole way.
Your puppy must have a crate to travel home in, and you will need to get this in advance. If we deliver your puppy, we have my own special equipment to bring them to you, so you need to have a crate for them ready to go. If you are traveling to us to pick your puppy up, you should check with us about the kind of crate you'll need, and bring it with you. Under no circumstances should you plan on winging it without a crate.
If you are coming to pick up your puppy, and you plan to travel home by car, you may select a canvas travel crate or something simple that you can use later for vet visits and short trips. Floppy cases are less comfortable for the dog, and harder to clean up if there's an accident, so keep that in mind if your trip will be long.
If you are planning to travel by air, you MUST follow the airline's instructions for your puppy's travel crate. Your puppy will not be allowed on the plane if you do not get the right crate.
